I was raised on a small farm in rural East Texas by hard working Christian parents who loved Southern Gospel Music, picking up my special love for music, especially Southern Gospel at a very young age attending singing schools. Then when I graduated from high school and moved to Houston where I lived for over 30 years and stayed involved in gospel music, one of those being I ushered at the Battle of Songs once a month at the Music Hall where I met some of gospel music’s legendary greats who are no longer with us, The Blackwood’s, The Happy Goodman’s, Hover Lister and The Statesmen, Jake Hess and J. D. Sumner two of my favorites just to mention a few.
I want to dedicate this site to Marie Vaught Prosise, who was one of my dearest friends, who lived and loved gospel music. She is the one who really got me started in the promotional work of gospel music, she played the piano for several different gospel singing groups. She and I owned Flowery Mountion Promotions. Marie passed away in 2001. Our dream was to see Southern Gospel Music brought back to East Texas. Today I am trying to help to see that dream become a reality
Long before I retired from my job God started opening doors for me to work in music which I dearly love. I worked in the public sector for 42 years knowing that when the time came I could not just sit down and twiddle my thumbs. My husband was also a lover of Southern Gospel Music and when he passed away 12 yrs ago I started as we say in Texas putting my ducks all in a row. If not for the help and encouragement of a niece who works in the field of music and others I would not have made it to this point in my life.
I decided to open my own talent agency and with the help of The Good Lord, family and friends standing behind me, that day finally arrived. I have truly been blessed.
I know that what I am today I owe to my parents who both went to be with the Lord in 2002. My family and I was very blessed to have them with us for as long as we did.
They lived to see me and my siblings, one brother and two sisters all grown and doing well with families. They were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grand children.
I opened Bluebonnet Talent Agency here in the Pineywoods of East Texas, in Nacogdoches, Texas, which happens to be the oldest town in Texas, where I was born and raised. In June of 2004 I seen my dream become a reality, working in management, bookings and promotional work.
I have helped to promote and book concerts for Ron Blackwood and the Blackwood’s out of Pigeon Forge, TN, carrying on the name of one of Americas gospel greats. Many thanks goes to Ron for the help and encouragement he has given me always saying "Anita you can do it." I have booked for the Legendary Stamps Quartet who did back up for Elvis in the 70s. I have been very fortunate and blessed to work with the people that I have in Gospel Christian Music. I have and still work with Ron Blackwood and The Blackwood Quartet and The Blackwood Singers,Pigeon Forge TN. The Roarks from Sharpes Chapel, TN. The Maharrys from St. Stephen, AL, Mark Blackwood and Blackwood Gospel Quartet and others
I am also happy to announce that I now have four new people on board here at Bluebonnet Talent Agency,

I am looking for some great things to happen in the near future with these fineChristian entertainers.
I hear ever so often in my work that Gospel Music is dead, I am sorry to say gospel music is far from dead. People the world over are crying out for this type of music, back to their home roots.
